Tiverton’s pre season kicked off on the first Tuesday of July with a loss to Exeter, 1-0 thanks to a 48th minute Ben Seymour header. On the 16th of July Tivvy welcomed Wellington AFC to Ladysmead and played host to an entertaining 7 goal game which saw Tiverton win 5-2 thanks to a 21st minute Jared Lewington header, a 38th minute Jared Lewington lob, a 53rd minute Jared Lewington header, a 73rd minute Louis Cane goal and a 90th minute Nick Grimes header.
Up next for Tiverton is obviously the high flying gulls, whom as most of us know beat Plymouth 3-1 on Tuesday. After the tough task of Torquay, they face the Royal Marine’s football team on Thursday the 25th of July. On the 3rd of August, Tivvy will face Mousehole, the side formerly managed by Kevin Nicholson. Tiverton has also planned to face Yeovil, however Yeovil decided to cancel the arranged friendly, which was planned for the 30th of July.
